The mechanical steering helms are available in four models, all using a Planetary Gear Design with three satellite gears that rotate on their axis and at the same time rotate around the central helm axis. This design provides an optimum reduction ratio with a minimum of physical effort, increased efficiency and less torque feedback compared to cheaper single pinion gear helms.
